WHEN DID YOU START OFFERING FINISHED JEWELRY?
My love of creating jewelry started when a friend “dragged” me to a Chicago bead show where I admired the beautiful work of another talented jewelry artist. I had been searching for an avenue to express my own creativity and jewelry seemed the perfect fit. I took some simple beading classes and was hooked immediately. While attending art shows to sell my own jewelry designs, other chain maille artists continually inquired as to when I would begin selling my handcrafted jump rings and kits, thus Midwest Maille was born! In July of 2020, I decided to combine my DianeMillerDesigns.com website with MidwestMaille.com. You can find some of my finished pieces for sale under the “Finished Jewelry” link. I will continue to add additional pieces of my finished jewelry to that page.
WHAT IS ARGENTIUM® SILVER?
Argentium® 930 sterling silver is highly tarnish-resistant. Jewelry-makers and customers alike appreciate the value and convenience of beautifully sparkling jewelry that requires no polishing. An occasional rinse with a mild soap and water is all that is needed. The unique formulation of Argentium Sterling Silver enhances the appearance of the silver, giving an incredible natural brightness and lustrous beauty that outshines white gold, platinum and even traditional sterling silver. Argentium® 930 sterling silver does not contain nickel.
HOW CAN YOUR SILVER PLATE JUMP RINGS BE NON TARNISH?
The wire that I use to make my non tarnish silver plate jump rings is made by using 99% pure copper wire that is plated with 99% pure fine silver, then a clear coat is added to prevent tarnishing. When your jump rings are closed, the copper core is hidden inside. My non tarnish silver plate jump rings are not as bright white as my Argentium® sterling silver jump rings, instead, my non tarnish silver plate jump rings have a clear coating which prevents tarnishing and gives theses jump rings the look of a beautiful satin finish. Because of these silver plate jump rings have a clear coating, they should never be tumbled.
Although Midwest Maille will continue to specialize in chain maille kits with Argentium® sterling silver, I also want to be able to offer my customers a less expensive alternative, like my non tarnish silver plate, and colored jump rings.
All of my jump rings are cut to order and are currently available in Argentium® sterling silver, non tarnish silver plate, copper, gold colored enamel and colored enameled jump rings. If you need a different size that is not listed on our website, please contact me for a quote on the size/gauge jump rings you would like. I also offer complete chain maille kits in non tarnish silver plate, gold colored enameled and Argentium® sterling silver.

All items are shipped via 1st class US Mail. This service includes tracking and delivery confirmation but not insurance. If you wish an alternative method of shipping or would like to add Delivery Confirmation and/or insurance to your package or have your packaged shipped Express Mail, please email us or give us a call at 262-993-8882. We will send you an e-invoice for the services you would like. If you choose not to add insurance, please note that Midwest Maille is not responsible for packages that are lost or damaged in the mail.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
I stand behind my products 100% and I will happily replace any jump rings that you do not find satisfactory within 7 days of purchase. Ordering the wrong size jump ring does not constitute unsatisfactory jump rings and they are nonreturnable. All of my jump rings are custom cut to order. If you have ordered the wrong size jump rings I will be happy to recommend other uses for them. Please contact me before returning any item(s) so that I can determine the item’s condition and issue the appropriate return authorization.
